Syro Malabar Youth Movement
The Syro-Malabar Youth Movement (SMYM) is the official youth movement of the Syro-Malabar Church, dedicated to inspiring and guiding young people to live lives centred on Jesus. Rooted in the traditional beliefs of the Syro-Malabar Church and its mission to serve the Kingdom of God and society, SMYM seeks to foster the integral development of young individuals and strengthen unity among the youth.
By encouraging spiritual growth and a sense of togetherness, the movement equips young people to lead purposeful and faith-filled lives. SMYM plays a vital role in shaping the lives of its members and contributes to the overall strength and vitality of the Syro-Malabar Church.
To nurture this vision, SMYM organises a wide range of initiatives, including Youth-Led Vigils held on the third Friday of every month, hikes, games nights, Bible studies, Holy Qurbana sessions, fundraisers, SEEK gatherings, and even flash mobs during perunaal. These activities not only enrich the spiritual lives of members but also create a vibrant community where faith, friendship, and service flourish
