We have the following announcements for this week:
- 1. Church cleaning: St Sebastian’s Ward, Epping is responsible for Cathedral cleaning and decorating this week.
- Catechism Teachers’ Expressions of Interest- Final Call: We are still in need of a few more volunteers to teach catechism classes during the afternoons. Tentatively, the Catechism classes will take place at 3:45pm followed by Holy Qurbana at 5:00pm. If you are free during this time, and are interested, please send a message to Riji George (0432 081 470), Boppin John (0470 355 996) or our Kaikkarans by the end of this week.
- Support for Lima Halky Thomas:Our parish member Lima is courageously battling an aggressive form of cancer and will be returning to India for specialised treatment. During this challenging journey, we invite our community to support Lima and her family with our prayers and encouragement. If you are able to offer financial assistance during this difficult time, please contribute to our parish account. Even the smallest contribution will provide meaningful comfort during this tough period in their lives.

All parishioners named George, Varghese, Varkey, Jio (Geo) and similar are encouraged to become presudenthis for the feast.

For the snehavirunnu, we are planning to give appam and chicken curry to all parishioners. Chicken curry will be prepared at the church. We kindly request all parishioners to help by making and bringing appam for the feast day. RSVP will be collected for the feast from ward groups to help us approximate how much appam and curry will be needed. Please provide RSVP to your ward councillors.
- Morning Holy Qurbana: Holy Qurbana on Tuesdays and Thursdayswill now be held in the mornings. Adoration will begin at 9:00am, followed by Holy Qurbana at 9:30am.
- Faith Fest 2025: Faith Fest 2025 will be held fromFriday, 18th July to Sunday, 20th July, the final weekend of Term 2 holidays (before Term 3 starts). - Safer Churches training:All volunteers must have current safeguarding certification per National Safeguarding Standards. Training is required for new volunteers and those who have completed the training prior to 2023. A session will be held Saturday, 7th Juneat the Cathedral (53 McKellar Way, Epping).
